Beer Shops Involved
10 Beer Bottles
10 Beer Bottles is situated in the Town of Wivenhoe, North Essex. It is a bottleshop specialising in beers and ciders from Essex and East Anglia as well as a few of the usual suspects from other parts of the UK.
I decided to open a bottleshop during lockdown as I originally moved to Essex to do my PhD but with travel restricted and libraries closed I decided to put my savings into opening a bottleshop. My background is in hospitality, I am originally from just outside of Southwold and worked for Adnams when I moved home after completing my undergrad degree in 2007. I then moved to Norwich and worked in a real ale pub where my love of beer bloomed. I love a sour, gose or saison so my shop will showcase this. I am also passionate about sharing smaller breweries with people.
A Hoppy Place
SIBA UK's Best Independent Craft Beer Retailer - Single. 2021.
A Hoppy Place rotates around 200 beers across our 5 fridges and 4 degree direct draw cellar, and staunchly believe in coldchain. Ambient beer is sad beer.
A Hoppy Place is run by Naomi and Dave alongside Naomi's brother Jason. We opened A Hoppy Place in August 2019 having previously worked for Lovibonds Brewery and Mad Squirrel. In the most stereotypical of all craft beer tales, Dave's is also an IT consultant. Woo! Craft Beer!
We are fierce champions of independence within the UK, and hosters of many online, and when we are able - offline - events. As well as being a beer sommelier who loves hosting tasting sessions, Dave is a loud person in many facebook groups. Naomi manages our branding amongst nearly everything else, and actually pulls pints in person whilst Dave is too busy chatting. Naomi has to moderate Dave regularly. We recently released our first physical book, a beginners guide to food and beer matching, written and illustrated by Naomi. We love doing brewery collabs, having worked closely on events with multiple Berkshire breweries, and brewed with a few more.
For us, we do beer for the community, and we love that we've managed to foster one of our own through a very, very weird first year and a half. Cheers to everyone for being a part of it, and of our little bubble that is craft beer.
Hi I am Sophie and I own Banner Hops in Sheffield. Banner Hops is a neighbourhood bottle shop with a selection of local ales, UK craft beers and ciders and a good selection of Continental beer as well! I got into the beer industry as I trained as a baker on the Welbeck Estate and began making bakery products from beer yeast (Barm) which involved visiting lots of breweries to collect the barm. I do plan to introduced some beer bakes to the shop in the future so watch this space!
We're a little shop in Saffron Walden, North Essex. We specialise in craft beer from the UK and Europe and support local breweries as much as we can.
I've always had the idea to open my own shop after working in the beer industry for 15 years, and what better time to open than in a pandemic!
I was made redundant from working in the on trade for around 4 years, and whilst on furlough it finally gave me the time / kick up the arse I need!
Hop Burns & Black Ltd
Hop Burns & Black has two branches in South London (Best London) and an online shop, selling 350+ independently brewed craft beers which change out every week, as well as pioneering natural wine and cider from the very start. Seven years old this year. we've never lost our passion for bringing quality booze to the people (especially when we're driving our 100% electric van).
Hoppily is a Craft Beer Bottle Shop set up by brothers Mark and Chris, who wanted to give independent breweries the opportunity to sell their beers all throughout the UK. Initially we focused exclusively on selling beer from breweries based in Essex and the South East, since then we've started looking further afield and now stock craft beers from all across the country - but will always stay true to our roots and ensure we're supporting the local brewers.
Our services cover our monthly Beer Club, our appearances at local farmers markets and events, our two Essex bottle shops which offer draft and fridge beers to drink in or take away, plus our website which allows customers to explore our Gift Shop as well as hundreds of individual cans and bottles!
Keg, Cask & Bottle
Bringing the best beer to North Manchester from the UK and around the world. Stocking a carefully curated range of quality products in bottle (and cans) to take home or enjoy in our tasting room. Our passion is quality, well brewed beer whether it’s great German lager, brilliant Belgian ales or awesome American pale ales.
A rotating line up of keg beers and cask ales is on offer to sample on site or enjoy at home with our refillable Growlers.
Real Drinks (formerly Real Ale) opened the doors to the Richmond Road, East Twickenham shop in 2005 to champion bottle conditioned beers from UK microbreweries. This shop was one of the first beer shops in London. The business has grown and evolved with the times which culminated in the rebrand as Real Drinks, as the shop now focusses on a huge spectrum of alcoholic beverages, from cider to craft beers and natural wine. Our Twickenham shop features the highest amount of beers (circa 450) and the most adventurous range. It is a true craft beer Mecca.
I am just in the process of opening a small independent beer shop in Sheffield. I want this to be a place that celebrates good beer, where people can gather and chat about and try a few beers before buying, where sustainability is important, green breweries are celebrated and all are welcome and safe to enjoy whatever they like to drink!
It is my first business and I really want to specialise in stouts and imperials but also provide a broad GF and vegan range as well as top quality core beers and good local breweries.
I’m hoping to be open at the end of June and would love to be involved in this as a new business owner!
We are a bottle shop & taproom based in Tavistock Devon! I’ve been in the trade for over 20 years working for other people, and when the previous shop in Tavistock closed pre-Covid lockdown I took the opportunity of Lockdown to right a business plan, and Too Hoppy was born! I’ve personally loved craft beer for years now, I love the fact that you can continually find your new favourite beer! I think the UK is blessed with so many great breweries and we love to seek them out and showcase them at Too Hoppy!
Twisted Crow Beer & Bottle Shop
We are a brand new venture opening on 25th June, after 20+ years in hospitality, and the events of the last year meaning most of it was spent on furlough, I decided that I needed to follow the dream of working for myself. That had to be in something I was passionate about and with no local access to craft beer for more than 30 miles or online, I decided that an indie beer shop was just what was needed for me and the local area. With a selection of nearly 200 beers from some of the best UK breweries, I just want to be able to share my passion for good beer with as many people as possible.
A Pint Of Hops Ltd
A Pint Of Hops is a small Bottle-shop in West London Acton.
Born from passion and love for beer, but also from the lack of a dedicated beer place in this part of town. We have a vision and are confident to say that bottle-shops are here to stay.

Bristol's oldest brewing shop and beer repository, helping people access great booze through thick and thin. As Brewers, we know our stuff and have an appreciation for proper beer styles as well as the trendies. Beer is an ever changing beast and we keep up with the scene as well as teaching the basics and the history. We have a beer judge and super taster in our team and are happy to have the best prices on some of the most happening craft beer around as well as the trads.
Bottle Monkey - Beer To Go
Douglas - Isle of Man
BottleMonkey BeerToGo is the only specialist bottleshop on the isle of man. Established in 2019 we now stock an ever changing line up of approx 300 beers. We focus on amazing beer and hold regular tasting events to give our customers the best drinking experience possible. Alongside the cans and bottles we also offer take away draught beer in Growler and Crowler.
I’ve wanted to be my own boss forever but completely uninspired as to what I could do beyond being an accountant I searched and searched until I discovered cultural aspect attached to the craft beer industry. I was hooked. I spent a fe years researching *cough* and looking at the elements needed to set up a boundary breaking craft beer hub. Appealing to men and women alike, but especially to those who consider themselves a non-beer drinker. Come inside, get comfy and try some exciting flavours.
Favourite Beers opened on Friday 8th October 2010 as the only specialist Beer and Cider outlet in Gloucestershire. It has quickly established itself as the regional centre for beer and cider lovers from a much larger region.
This is a family business, which has been run since they opened by Leigh Norwood and his daughter Rosie Ferner - Rosie is taking over the reins in 2021 although Leigh will still be around. Both are passionate about the products they sell and are keen to spread the word (and the taste) of the excellent beers, ciders, wines and meads that are now available from a host of breweries and producers up and down the country.
We are a husband and wife team who opened our shop in the middle of a pandemic (and probable mid-life crisis) because people always need great beer, especially those in a struggling ex-market town in the middle of The Black Country!
At HAUL! (Hannah + Paul y'see) we offer 500+ craft beers from around the world (with a massive range of Belgium & German classics and reps from lots of local Midlands-based breweries) all stored and displayed in fridges to present the best quality beers possible to our customers.
Beer was our passion and now its our business!
Hop Hideout is an award winning speciality beer shop and tasting room, founded in 2013 as a ‘labour of beery love’ by Jules Gray.
One of the first ‘drink in’ beer shops in the UK, we have 200+ chilled beers available to browse, enjoy there and then or takeaway - including four fresh rotating draught taps. Owner Jules has a penchant for wild ales, funky beers, natural wines and farmhouse cider and loves nothing more than helping you find something you love to drink.

Indie Craft Beer Ltd
We're a Craft Beer shop and bar located in the centre of Kendal, Cumbria. We've been open since August 2018 selling mainly contemporary, hop forward beer from some of the UK's leafing independent breweries. We also offer 12 keg lines of some of the best craft beer around. We're always looking to stock beers not readily available in other retailers nearby.
We are an Independent beer retail shop that is specialise in Craft beers. We are based in Berkhamsted and Harpenden train stations. Our stores are perfectly located for people to get drinks and snacks on their way home from work or to buy a refreshing drink for their journey into London. We have a large selection of craft beer chilled at our store and also provide free local delivery.
Real Drinks opened on Formosa Street Maida Vale in 2017. The busiest and highest footfall shop across Real Drinks, which has developed an ardent following in the Maida Vale area and beyond since opening. There was very little craft beer in inner west london at that time and it was evident from the off that there was a huge market for it, with a number of successful events and tap takeovers from UK big hitters like Verdant and Deya.
Salthouse Bottles is a (very) small shop, established 2016, in Brockley, South East London. Before opening Salthouse Bottles we spent 10 years managing pubs serving well-kept real ale and, in the latter years, craft beers from keg and bottle. As we looked to open our own shop we wanted to celebrate independent business and to offer our customers the best of beer.
We stock independent UK breweries that produce consistently high-quality beers. There is a solid core range, particularly from those London breweries we know best, plus a weekly rotation of guest brews from our favourite breweries across the UK and occasionally abroad.
We opened the shop with a counter-pressure growler-fill machine on the counter and a sampling sink in the centre of the shop, but as the shop has needed more space for stock and social distancing, these have moved out, with the growlers now being pre-filled in the cellar of our nearby bar, Joyce (still under counter-pressure). Joyce is a simple neighbourhood bar that pours some of the most popular beers, wines & ciders from Salthouse Bottles.
The shop also stocks a range of natural wines from small grower-makers, real/fine ciders from the West Country, Kent, Sussex and Suffolk, and a small selection of quality spirits from independent distilleries. We have always sold bread from Little Bread Pedlar, but since the arrival of Covid we have added a small selection of good quality food essentials - dairy & cheese, pickles, fresh & dried pasta, preserves, flour, etc.
Stirchley Wines & Spirits
Stirchley Wines & Spirits is a family-run off-licence, stocking a fantastic range of alcoholic beverages.
Founded in 1979 and has remained a wonderfully family-owned business, serving customers with all of their boozy needs. Run by father and son team, Amrik and Krishan Rajput, our award-winning off-licence has stood the test of time and has a devoted following of fans to prove it.
Like any good off-licence we stock a wide range of different alcoholic drinks (and a few snacks too, perfect to enjoy with your tipple of choice). We pride ourselves on our selection of quality beers and ciders, fine wines and a great selection of spirits too.
Whilst we stock a range of drinks, our strength lies within the beer scene, which we have been part of for over 30 years. Since the late ’80s we have been stocking a wide and varied selection of beers for our customers to peruse and enjoy. Continually recommended by Ratebeer as one of the “Very Best Places to Have a Beer in England” (we have been named every single year from 2013 – 2020, quite the achievement).
One of the things that really sets us apart as a beer retailer is our Growler Takeaway system. This special filling system allows customers to buy beers that are normally only sold in kegs, by bringing in our re-fillable growler and filling up in store. With four different kegged beers on offer, this is a great opportunity to try some unique beers that customers wouldn’t normally be able to take home and enjoy.
If you’re a beer fan and you’ve yet to make a trip to Stirchley Wines, what are you waiting for? Head over and go and discover a new favourite beer!
That Beer Place...
We hold the widest selection of beers in Chester. Selling over 350 beers and ciders, either to take home or enjoy whilst sat on our authentic German beer benches. All of our draught offerings are available for take home as either growler fills or they can be canned on-site. We carry a range of beers from across the globe and have specialist sections for Belgium, Germany, traditional British and Craft offerings. We also have a specially curated selection of lambics and other rarities for the super beer nerd in your life. All of the team are Cicerone Certified Beer Servers so are able to help customers navigate their way through their beery journey.
The Beer Trap
We're a specialised craft beer bottleshop/bar, based in the lovely town of Belper, Derbyshire where an array of local independent business thrive. We found ourselves welcomed within the community and quickly became a firm staple with a forever growing fan base. If you're seeking out unique beers from IPA's to Stouts, we've got ones brewed only 5 minutes away down the road to all the way across the globe, we've got it covered! We're constantly learning about new hops, expanding our range at all times and love sharing the passion. Grab a selection to takeaway or sit in and have a few, a rotation of 200+ should be more than enough.
The Crafty Pint
I started my working life at eighteen as one of the youngest people in the country to hold more than one license, with a keen enthusiasm for " real ale".
Having had a break for a different career, I decided seven years ago that a craft beer shop was what I and this corner of West Sussex needed. I have been careful to source from local breweries and cider houses and think The Crafty Pint shows off the best on offer. Over the years other drinks and products have found their way into the shop, meads, local and worldwide wines and even Havana cigars. We love to do a tasting in the shop and supply outside bars and events.
The Holy GrAle
We are the only independent Craft Beer Bar and Bottle Shop in the centre of Durham City. In addition to our 10 taps we have many cans and bottles from uk breweries, as well as some form further afield.
To diversify during this latest lockdown, we applied for and were granted retail status, and now we also stock a range of deli items, including cheeses from a local dairy farm, and we are the only stockist in Durham of meat from Block and Bottle in Newcastle.
My wife and I opened the Hive in Dec 2020 after years of dreaming of starting our own business. We have combined all our passions (and vices) to creat a hybrid craft beer coffee shop. We only stock UK craft beer, gin and rum alongside all the usuals you’d expect from an indie coffee shop. We currently have over 300 beers and 6 tap lines.
Yorkshire Craft Beers
We are a small independent business selling craft beer in Castleford, West Yorkshire. We are the only bottle shop in the immediate area and based within the heart of a renovated flour mill.
We pride ourselves on our range of beers and level of service we provide to each and every customer that shops with us.
We also have a pop-up bar and offer mobile catering for all events big or small.
7000 Jars of Beer
Kingston Upon Thames
We are the only craft beer shop in Kingston Upon Thames and have been going since 2017. Love of phenomenal beer and the unique camaraderie and support experienced in the craft beer industry is something that's was unique in my experience of the drinks industry in the UK. The interconnectedness of the local, national and global craft beer scene is amazing and the unique experience provided by independent bottle shops and the essential value they bring to the breweries and the customers is something that should be recognised and supported.
All Good Beer
I suppose we opened our shop because, like many of our peers we have a huge passion for good beer (and other bevvies). We were also very enthusiastic about starting our own business and growing something out of nothing. We now operate a small but perfectly formed bar and bottle shop in Hackney Downs employing 6 people who all love serving our local community.
Bayleys of Bromsgrove
We’re a family run craft beer bottle shop in Bromsgrove, West Midlands. The first of our kind locally, we champion independent, national and international, craft breweries and support those with an ethos similar to ourselves. Our team are on hand to help customers with no prior knowledge of craft, and to engage in healthy debate with those with a keen interest like ourselves.
Alongside our off sale, customers can enjoy 6 rotating draught taps, craft ciders, a variety of artisan spirits and a selection of wines, all available for take away.
Beer No Evil
We're Beer No Evil, we wanted to set up a beer shop and inclusive community space driven by all things beer. We work as a shop that people can have a drink in. In 2020 we won the UK's best Independent Beer Retailer (Single) at the SIBA business awards for our commitment to community and sustainability.
We are the only place in West Sussex who offer glass bottle counter pressure refills, from our six ever-changing keg lines. Using the special bottle filler means that no oxygen comes in contact with the beer, keeping it fresh and like draft beer at home. Being so near the beach it was important for us to avoid the use of plastic and operate as sustainably as possible.
All our beer is kept cold, either in our fridges or cold store. We stock everything from mixed fermentation beers to hop forward modern pales, lagers and stouts.
We've a large central table where we host tastings and have hosted the likes of The Kernel and Burning Sky for special ticketed events. We also run a homebrew club and have taken part in beer launches with the likes of Duration and Queer Brewing.
Through our commitment to all things beer and our inclusive outlook, we have become a destination for people visiting Worthing and the surrounding areas.
We are a family business and live in the 15th-century market town of Thame, Oxfordshire and The Hatchery, our shop and tasting venue is on Bradmoor Farm, where you can spend a wonderful few hours outside amongst independent retailers & producers to share, taste and enjoy some family time together.
We believe in making a local and regional difference, challenging the norm by supplying the finest products, made with passion and an amazing “family”story.
Supporting British producers to bring together the best of craft beers, artisan gins and regional wines from 70 miles radius of our shop; bringing almost 100 other family/small producer led businesses all to our store, online and out to you in one self-selected or curated box delivered with love to your door just as the producers had made it. Adding the occasional delight from our global travels with wines from emerging producers from around the world and the finest local english vineyards too.
Only fancy a few bottles that’s just fine too! Mix & match, complete flexibility to support your own personal passion or delight within our 500+ drinks range.
Tastings at the Hatchery or virtually over zoom across wine, gin or beers and add grazeboards, cheese or simply chocolate & popcorn nibble. We cater for you at home and companies alike.
Happy hour boxes, gift packs or wedding packs- we can provide a bespoke service to them all; not forgetting our Wholesale arm supplying to retailers, farm shops and on trade too.
We are a tiny little bottle shop and bar in a market in Tooting. The whole market has completely transformed since we moved in, in 2016 we were the only evening business and use to lock the market one our way out - now Broadway Market is a really cool, bustling place to be with many bars and restaurants under one roof. Cheers
Drink was set up initially as a bottle shop and tastingroom by the now closed Bridestone brewery, after the 2015 boxing days floods Bridestones decided to cease trading and Drink was turned into a bar and bottle shop by one of the brewers. In 2019 I (Liz) took ownership, coming from 15 years experience within the industry running bars for other people (most notably 1/2 of the Vocation breweries owners), I decided I wanted my own place, this perfectly matched to Drinks then owner wanting to move on. Drink has undergone a full refurbishment and now has full cold storage for all products, a newly created meeting room for the town to use for free, local deliveries via cargo bike (with refrigeration) and pride itself on being a fully inclusive and safe space. All management are female and queer and are truly proud to champion amazing products from craft producers in a welcoming and inclusive environment (and our piano is razzle dazzled)
Hip Hops Beer Shop
In June 2019 Hip Hops Beer Shop opened its door and fulfilled the dream of four passionate craft beer lovers who wanted to create something niche and exciting to service the thirsty folk of a growing Lindley village and beyond.
Two years from opening and the craft beer revolution is still gathering pace. The days of choosing a simple ale or lager are long gone. People want big choice, to sample and compare different beers from a broad range of styles.
The UK has 100’s of fantastic microbreweries and breweries and this number is ever increasing. We aim to showcase the UK market in all its glory. Beers are sourced far and wide and we are confident in the depth of quality craft beers to accommodate and surpass our customer’s needs, as well as differentiating us from majority.
Our core range of 40-50 beers cover Pale Ales, India Pale Ales, Sours, Goses, Saisons, Stouts, Imperial Stouts, Barley Wines and Craft Lagers. On top of our core range we also house around 175 special beers which we continually update to reflect emerging breweries, new special edition beers and outstanding collaborations. With over 200 craft beers in total there really is something for every taste.
The interior of the shop reflects the trendy, growing surrounding area of Lindley village. A rustic, raw, industrial look is combined with a slick, modern, high end finish to give a craft beer shop for everyone to enjoy.
Hoppily Chelmsford is the second Craft Beer Bottle Shop set up by brothers Mark and Chris, who wanted to give independent breweries the opportunity to sell their beers all throughout the UK.
Award-winning family run beer shop and bar. We’re passionately supportive of and only stock independent breweries. We are always on hand to guide you through our selection and offer expert recommendations. A proud part of the Holloway community we have a chilled and inclusive vibe and absolutely love to chat beer.
A wee little bottleshop on Church Street that sells great, independent, craft beer, cider, wine, spirits and other bits too ie coffee & snacks. We do growler fills, crowler fills, takeaways & click and collect. We love beer and wanted to ensure others get to enjoy small, independents at home too.
Beer and record shop situated in Cardiff. We opened in the summer of 2017 and we stock 500+ beers from the UK, Europe and beyond. We have a revolving range of modern Ciders, too. And we have 10-12 racks of second hand vinyl. We are working towards being 100% Cold store for beer and we currently have 7 large fridges and our built in cold store room. We are aiming to open our taproom in the next 12 months when current lockdown measures allow. We are aiming to have 6-12 lines on and seating for 30-40 people.
Real Drinks opened on Golborne Road in 2019 with a firm emphasis on Natural Wine and drinking on site. The shop is now firmly rooted in the community and in addition to the wines also stocks a core range of beers and has craft beers on tap with Golborne Helles, the house lager, a collaboration brew with Brick Brewery. being by far the biggest selling line. Notting Hill offers the most space of all three shops for drinking in with seating spread over two floors and outside.
Shume Bottle Emporium Limited
We are a independent specialist bottle shop, we focus on small independent craft breweries.
We stock over 100 breweries and over 300 lines of beers. Beer makes over 75% of our sales, as we also stock small range of spirits, wine, cheese and coffee.
I have worked with Belgian beers for over 8years, this has helped me understand better the world of beer.
We love beer our selves and it's great to be able to share that with our customers/friends.
Stori Beer and Wine CYF
We are a welsh drinks specialist with our main focus being craft beer. We opened in 2015 after struggling to buy local craft beer where we live in Bala, and 6 years later we have (we think) the biggest range of Welsh craft beer, a tiny bar in the back and have somehow taken on a distillery (also in 'the back')! From day 1 we served draught beer to take home (way before you could drink it in by the glass) as an attempt to bring GREAT local beer to an irresistible price point and lure folks away from the '3 for £5' supermarket offers, and it worked! Beer by the litre to take home has been a core part of STORI. We typically have 10 welsh beers on tap and 4 welsh ciders. Our core beer that never changes is the fabulous Pilsner from our very local brewery (Geipel). Lockdown sure has been long and quiet, but we cant wait to welcome everyone back in a few weeks!
The Apothecary Tap
The Apothecary Tap is Banbury's only specialist craft beer bar and bottle shop.
Opened in April 2019, it is run by husband and wife team Rob and Karen. We specialise in small batch craft beers from independent brewers, both local and from around the globe, including a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free beers.
The Apothecary Tap grew out of our passion for craft beer and the desire to bring this to Banbury.
The Beer Musketeer Ltd
The Beer Musketeer is a small craft beer bottle shop in the heart of Southsea, Portsmouth established in 2017. Originally started by local beer aficionado Stuart as a place for enthusiasts to get great craft beer, and discover new small batch breweries. Taken on by Jason in the latter part of 2018 he has kept up the great quality and variety of products and has now included ranges of cider, natural wine and hot sauce. The beer musketeer is a place with a lot of heart and passion for what it does, showcasing beers of varying styles from around the world, quickly becoming a Southsea treasure.
Iv been in the trade since I was 18 starting at various Oddbins shops then some bars and finally independent bottle shops, there is where I learned more about the Finacial reality of what we were selling and the difficulties that can face smaller business like ours,But I also learned the power of independent where the effect it can have on the customer and how most love shopping in independents and especially love a well procured ranged. So in 2011 I started the Beerhive with the aim of keeping all the good I had learned and getting rid of all the bad,our shop focuses on the customer experience and nothing else,we aim to do our best to get you what it is you are looking for While being as accommodating and fun as possible, but also maintaining professionalism at the same time,This sounds simple but as I found in my experience of business many do not adhere to this rule,a major rule in our shop is to listen to the customer,we are there to serve and make the experience a good one.In ten years we don’t have any complaints and all our customers are happy so hopefully we are doing something right.
The Grumpy Goat
Our adventure started in December 2013 when we set up' The Grumpy Goat', an independent retailer of craft beer, cheese and spirits. As we all know cheese pairs perfectly with beer and we thought this would be a unique selling point as there are just a handful of beer and cheese shops in the UK.
In December 2020 we were lucky enough to move into a bigger, more prominant premises in Reading town centre. Since we have moved we have also started to expand our range of products that compliment beer, such as chocolate and vegan cheese. We are always on the look out for new and exciting things to eat and drink and we are really looking forward to stretching our legs in our new home.
In the not too distant future we will also open a small tap room above our shop which will give us the opportunity to host a whole range of tasting events.
Three Hounds Beer Cafe & Bottle Shop
Three Hounds Beer Cafe & Bottle Shop is situated in Beckenham, in London by Clock House Station. With 10 taps and 200 beers in the fridge this is the only dedicated bottle shop in Beckenham. They recently moved to a larger premises to bring more great beer and a place to become your new friendly neighborhood Beer Cafe & Bottle Shop!
Twelve Ounce Bottleshop
Twelve ounce cans mark a huge movement in the beer scene, from draught pints in the pub from the big players, to tinnies with perfectly designed can art from the small guys. Thats's a huge part of what Twelve Ounce means for Alex and Greg.
Twelve Ounce Bottleshop's owners have a huge emphasis on local breweries, with a designated space in the shop for locals, as depicted on their 'Brewery Trail' map, a map of local breweries intended to be a local scavenger hunt to lead people to the lesser known craft beer taprooms on industrial estates of North London. All the other shelves are taken up by a carousel of ever revolving breweries, natural wine, cider and cocktail producers, found by obsessively tasting, testing and cruising Instagram for new and exciting creators.
Alex and Greg quit their city jobs, Alex was a researcher in PR and Greg worked in Finance, to start up the bottleshop in the middle of the pandemic, to dive into an industry that they had long been fascinated by. Calling in some family and friend favours and paying them in beers, Alex and Greg transformed the space that is now Twelve Ounce from a shop that was painted entirely blue (inside and out, floors and all), into the beer lined walls you see today.
The ultimate aim was to give their local community a chance to explore new styles, smash through their preconceptions and train their Frenchie Dave to be a good shop dog.
